Biography

Journalist with multimedia experience at Grupo RBS (2010-2016) and NSC Comunicação (2017-2019/2020-2021), affiliates of Rede Globo in Brazil, and Deutsche Welle (2019) in Germany. He has been published in major newspapers in the south of the country, such as Diário Catarinense, Zero Hora, Jornal de Santa Catarina, A Notícia and Hora de Santa Catarina, as well as in national portals such as G1, UOL and Folha de S.Paulo. He is a PhD student in Political Science at the University of Mannheim, Germany, and has a master's degree in Media, Technology and Society from the University of Applied Sciences in Darmstadt, Germany. He has been a fellow of Dataship, a training program for data journalists from the Global South by the Deutsche Welle Akademie. A member of Abraji and Jeduca, he was a member of the Comprova Project from 2018 to 2020, to combat disinformation in the Brazilian elections and during the Covid-19 pandemic. He has developed fact-checking and data journalism projects in the South of Brazil, as well as reporting focused on public policies and education, one of which was recognized by the 2018 Andifes Award.
