Data visualization specialist Massachusetts Institute of Technology
Wonyoung So is a data visualization designer and researcher. His main interests are about bottom-up driven data movement, and he is interested in how the open-source and DIY movement will affect the urban space.
He is a graduate student of the Department of Urban Studies and Planning at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He was a curator of Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism and a data visualization specialist at MIT Senseable City Lab and Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology. He co-founded the crowdfunding platform Tumblbug in Korea. His work has been recognized and exhibited by MIT Museum, Fast Co. Design, The Atlantic, CNN, The Guardian, Seoul Museum of Art and Wired, among others.
