Biography

Raúl Sánchez is a Spanish journalist covering stories of inequality, gender and corruption despite everything at eldiario.es. He was part of the investigation “Castellana Papers” that revealed the tricks of Spaniard's great fortunes to avoid taxes with the amnesty that the government authorized and coordinator of “Enslaved Land”, a data driven, cross-border investigation that shows what is behind the Latin American and African plantations' agricultural model that feeds western countries.

He is the co-founder of "Mapa del Poder en Canarias", an interactive application that shows the relationships between the economical and political elites in the Canary Islands. He has been a data journalist at eldiario.es since July 2015, publishing content based on databases analysis. He has published on elmundo.es and is a team member of filtrala.org,a digital whistleblowing platform.
