Biography

I am a journalist turned academician with rich experience of more than two decades in leading media industries and academia across India. I worked with reputed Print and TV News channels in a capacity of Bureau-In-Charge, Special Correspondent, Senior Reporter. During my professional journey, I directed and produced several news shows and documentary films for various television channels. I have done my PhD and MA in Journalism and Mass Communication from Berhampur University, Odisha. In my academic tenure for the last decade, I am associated and served leading universities in a different part of the country. Besides my regular academic assignment and research, I am actively involved in curriculum design, developing innovative teaching methods, internship and placement assistance and training programs for various universities. Till now, eight research papers and two book chapters in peer-reviewed research journals are in my credit. I have also presented papers in 20 international and national conferences. Apart from this, I also organised many seminars and workshop and handled projects from UNDP, National Biodiversity Authority (NBA) like organisations. In a leadership position, I managed various positions like Head of the Department, Program Leader, Academic Operation Coordinator in multiple Universities. My area of specialisation is Journalism, TV & Radio News Production, Print Media and Multi-media Production.
